I live in Cascade with my wife of 19 years, Marlene, and our two sons, Caleb and Cameron. Marlene works for Calista Corporation of Anchorage, Alaska. Caleb is a member of the Idaho Army National Guard and will soon be attending school to be an electrical lineman. Cameron is a high school senior and will be attending Boise State University next fall to study computer science.
I began my Law Enforcement career in 2004 at the Valley County Sheriff’s Office under Sheriff Britt Durfee. I currently hold a Master’s Certificate from Idaho POST and am dual certified in both Patrol and Detention.
During my law enforcement career, I have worked in various roles at the Valley County Sheriff’s Office including, Detention, Marine, Patrol, and Administration where I oversaw the Valley County Jail.
My love for the Valley County community runs deep. As a community member, I was elected onto the Board of Directors of the Southern Valley County Recreation District from 2013-2021, including time as Board President. During my time on the SVCRD Board, I helped design and build the Cascade Aquatic and Recreation Center.
I recently decided to resign from the Valley County Sheriff’s Office to run for the Office of Sheriff.
I feel strongly that we need a positive change in leadership and can do a better job of supporting the men and women who serve our community.
I look forward to meeting with people and sharing my vision for the Valley County Sheriff’s Office.
